Use of the checklist can help assessors plan more informed and meaningful observations and reflect on the accuracy of their observations. The California Department of Education has released a compact preschool view of the DRDP (2015), the DRDP (2015) Preschool Fundamental View, for general education and special education. Beginning fall 2016, the DRDP (2015) Preschool Fundamental View must be used with preschoolers with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
The DRDP (2015) Infant/Toddler View Assessment Manual has a revised Introduction and Appendices, but no change to the measures.
