A Guide for Administrators, Teachers, and Data Entry Clerks
The Special Education Desired Results System, or SEDRS, is a secure online database for assessors and administrators to upload, enter, and review assessment data from DRDP Information Pages and Rating Records.
Child-level reports summarize the development of individual children. Developmental Status Reports display the child’s current status relative to same-age typically-developing children. Developmental Progress Reports display that child’s current progress relative to his or her previous assessments.
To best use this training guide, go to the SEDRS website, www.sedrs.org and follow along.
After logging into your SEDRS account, you will be taken to the home page.
Click Find DRDPs to locate student reports—i.e. Developmental Status and Progress reports.
Note: This is the home page for a SELPA administrator’s account. If you are a district administrator, teacher, or data entry clerk, your home page will differ in appearance, but these directions are still applicable.

For a search of all records, select the Assessment Period that you would like to view from the drop-down menu.
Leave all other fields blank.
Click Search.
Note: For SELPAs using the bulk upload feature to import their DRDP data for the current period, the records must first be successfully imported into SEDRS before they can be viewed. Records from previous reporting periods can be viewed at any time.

The search results will show all records entered, including records that are “Complete” or “In Progress.”
Note: Developmental Reports are only generated when records are complete/certified. If a record is marked “In Progress,” you must first complete and submit the record.
To download a single report for an individual child, click on the type of report that you would like to download, either Status or Progress next to the child’s name.
You will generate a PDF of a report that you can view, print, or save to a secure location. Please take necessary precautions to guarantee the confidentiality of these reports.

This is an example of a SEDRS Developmental Status Report for the DRDP access. A similar one is available for the Preschool DRDP-R (PS DRDP-R).
The differences between this report and the PS DRDP-R report are that (1) the Instrument field says DRDP access and (2) there are eight Indicator Groups as opposed to six on the PS DRDP-R.
The Developmental Status Report shows the child’s scale score by Indicator Group. The next column presents the range for typical development for the child’s age group for that Indicator Group. This is followed by a graphical representation of the child’s scale score. The shaded area represents a zone of typical development. In this example, the graphic places the child within a zone of typical development for each indicator group.

This is an example of a SEDRS Developmental Progress Report for the DRDP access.
Scale scores are reported by Indicator Group for each assessment period that the child’s data are entered into SEDRS. In this example, there is a column for Fall 2007, Spring 2008, and Fall 2009 scale scores.
The rightmost column shows the “Change in Score” which is calculated by subtracting the first assessment score from the last assessment score. This change in scale score demonstrates growth within each indicator along the developmental continuum.

To download multiple Developmental Status and Progress reports at once, click Find DRDPs.
Select the Assessment Period from the drop-down list.
Select Complete.
Click Search.

On the Search Results page, click on either the link to Download All Developmental Status Reports, or the link to Download all Developmental Progress Reports.
You will generate PDFs of reports that you can view, print, or save to a secure location.
Important: Downloading more than 200 reports at one time places a burden on all current users of the system. Please download your reports in batches smaller than 200.
Be sure to sign out when you have finished your SEDRS session to ensure that your data is secure.
