DRDP Dates for Preschool Special Education

SPRING

Mar. 1 - Apr. 30	Complete observation and documentation
May 1 - Jun. 30	Submit DRDP data via SEDRS
July 1	Fax SELPA Certification Report to CDE

FALL

Oct. 1 - Nov. 30	Complete observation and documentation
Dec. 1 - Jan. 31	Submit DRDP data via SEDRS
February 1	Fax SELPA Certification Report to CDE

If the deadline falls on a Saturday, then the report will be due 5 PM on Friday.
If the deadline falls on a Sunday, then the report will be due 5 PM on Monday

IMPORTANT POLICY CHANGE

California Department of Education, Special Education Division
Beginning September 1, 2009 all new preschool-age children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) will be assessed using only the DRDP access.
This change does not affect preschool-age children with IEPs who were assessed prior to September 1; these children will continue to be assessed with the same instrument that was previously used, whether the DRDP access or the DRDP-R.
